New 3rd Kit for Hartlepool

League Two Hartlepool United have officially launched a new Third kit for the rest of the 09/10 season. The shirt is black with gold and made by Nike.

The shirt was used in the game against Leeds United back on Boxing Day and again this Tuesday at Charlton Athletic.

With great feedback on the design the club have started selling it in the club shop feom this Monday.

PUMA team up with Burnley

Burnley FC have sealed a new four-year partnership with PUMA and Genesis Sports.

The dell starts in the summer of 2010 and sees PUMA supply the club with their Replica Kit and Training wear for four seasons.

Mr Barry Kilby Burnley FC Chairman said: “We are very proud to have entered into a partnership with such a leading brand as PUMA.

“Our new Technical Kit Partnership once again demonstrates the progress that has been made at Burnley Football Club.”

Tennants to sponsor Rangers and Celtic?

Rumours in the Daily record speculate that the Old Firm are set to announce new shirt sponsors and Tennent’s are the favourites to secure the sponsorship deal.

The pair are currently sponsored by Carling who signed an £18million deal in 2003.

Tennents currently sponsor the national team and are looking for new opportunities shen that deal ends.

If signed the deal could net both teams £1.5 million a year.

Xtep International Holdings team up with Birmingham City

Birmingham City have completed a record sponsorship deal for five year to have Xtep International Holdings Ltd as kit and traningwear manufactures.

The deal starts next season and makes Birmingham the first team in the league to wear shirts made by Xtep

Birmingham City FC’s Vice Chairman, Peter Pannu commented: “This is a fantastic deal for the football club.

“Not only is it a superb deal commercially, being the biggest sponsorship the club has acquired, but also on a brand level as it promotes the club internationally.

“Xtep are big players in the sportswear market in China and this partnership will expand the Birmingham City FC brand in the Far East.”

Puma to take over shirt deal at Newcastle

Shirt makers Puma have secured a deal to suppy all team kits and training equipment to Newcastle United. The deal sees the end of a long relationship with Addidas.

The deal starts from the start of the 2010/2011 season and due to run for two seasons.

Northern Rock to extend Newcastle deal.

Current shirt sponsors Northern Rock are looking to extend their shirt sponsorship of Championship leaders Newcastle.

The bank are looking to continue the sponsorship for a dithering four seasons. The deal is thought to be worth £10 million but could change according to the league the Magpies are in.
